Hands-on cooking classes and farm tours on a working regenerative farm in São Miguel. Cook what we harvested this morning, walk the gardens with the people growing them, and gather at the table for a farm-to-table meal — all included.
Everything we do is rooted in regenerative agriculture. Our cooking classes and farm tours are 3-4 hour experiences shaped by what the farm is offering that week. Both include a meal — because at VIVA Quinta, learning, growing, and eating are the same conversation.

Small-group Azores cooking classes shaped by what we picked from the farm that morning. Start in the garden choosing what to cook with our kitchen team. Then prep, cook, and gather at the table for the meal you just made. Traditional Azorean cooking, seasonal preserving, sourdough, wood-fired pizza, fermenting, herbal infusions, low-glycemic baking — built around what's in season. The meal is included.
The Malaca Farm Tour is a ninety-minute walk through the syntropic agroforestry fields and food forest of our regenerative estate. Your guide covers the thinking behind syntropic farming — how the system layers trees, shrubs, and ground crops to build soil and biodiversity over time — with stops to taste what's in season along the way.

There's a rhythm to a stay at VIVA Quinta — and the best way to find yours is to talk with us. Tell us what you're after, and we'll shape your time on the island.
